ABOUT LEIMIA HOTTA

Leimia Hotta (b. JAPAN),  based in New York, NY. Her artworks challenging to achieve combined with obscurity materials of quantum mechanics phenomenon with subjects of contemporary world . She use "super dots technique" which is 1/10 mm dots layers overlay nearly 100 layers for human skin expression (mostly woman). She use mix technique with tempera, acrylic oil and Japanese mural painting.  She also loves to use motif of Hermetic philosophy or World of Alchemy, myths, Japanese ancient history.

堀田レイミア  1987年よりNY/NJ州在住。日本画,テンペラと油彩の混合技法での制作をへて現在は主に油彩での制作に立ち戻っている。女性の肌部分には1/10mmの超点描のレイヤーを100層以上重ねる「超点描画法」で制作。主にヘルメス学的なモチーフや日本のモチーフでの制作。最近はそれらモチーフと最先端科学との対比・融合を好んでる。
