ABOUT LEIMIA HOTTA

Leimia Hotta (b. JAPAN),  based in New York, NY. Her artworks challenging to achieve combined with obscurity materials of quantum mechanics phenomenon and subjects of contemporary material world with motif of Hermetic philosophy or World of Alchemy, myths, traditional Japanese sacred images, histories and stories.
   
She use "super dots technique" which is layers of 1/10 mm dots surface overlay about 100 layers for human skin expression (mostly woman) with tempera, acrylic oil and Japanese traditional mural painting.

堀田レイミア  1987年よりNY/NJ州在住。量子力学的イメージ、日常生活のシンボリックなイメージとヘルメス学的なモチーフや日本の神話や古典などのトラディッショナルモチーフとの融合がテーマまた最先端科学との対比・融合を試みている。女性の肌部分には1/10mmの超点描のレイヤーを100層以上重ねる「超点描画法」で制作。
